Refund Policy
This Refund Policy applies to all digital products purchased from E-Book Shop and is governed by the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), 68 of 2008, of South Africa.(https://www.gov.za/documents/consumer-protection-act)
1. Digital Products
All products sold by E-Book Shop are digital eBooks delivered electronically. Due to the nature of digital content, refunds are generally not offered once an eBook has been accessed or downloaded, except where required by law.
2. Right to Quality Goods
In accordance with Section 55 of the Consumer Protection Act, customers are entitled to receive digital products that:
- Are of good quality
- Are reasonably fit for the purpose for which they are intended
- Function as described on our website
If an eBook is defective, corrupted, incomplete, or materially different from its description, the customer may be entitled to a remedy.
3. Refunds, Replacements, or Corrections
Where a valid defect is reported, E-Book Shop will, at its discretion and in compliance with the CPA:
- Provide a corrected or replacement copy of the eBook, or
- Issue a refund if the defect cannot be reasonably resolved
Defects must be reported within 7 days of purchase, along with proof of purchase and a clear description of the issue.
4. No Refunds in Certain Circumstances
Refunds will not be granted where:
- The customer has changed their mind after accessing or downloading the eBook
- The product meets the description and functions as intended
- The issue arises due to the customer’s device, software, or internet connection
5. Incorrect Purchases
Customers are encouraged to review product descriptions carefully before purchase. Incorrect purchases made by the customer do not qualify for a refund, unless required by the CPA.
6. Processing of Refunds
Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method and may take 5–10 business days to reflect, depending on the payment provider.
