Vendor Onboarding & Verification Notice

E-Book Shop Marketplace

Welcome to the E-Book Shop Marketplace. To ensure a secure, lawful, and trustworthy platform for all users, all vendors are required to complete an onboarding and verification process before listing or selling digital products.

By registering as a vendor, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Verification Requirements

Vendors may be required to provide accurate and up-to-date information, including but not limited to:

Full legal name or registered business name
A valid Identity document or company registration number
Contact details (email address and phone number)
Banking or payment details for payouts
Proof of ownership or authorisation to sell digital content

Submission of false or misleading information is strictly prohibited.

2. Purpose of Verification

Verification is conducted to:

Comply with South African legal and regulatory requirements
Prevent fraud, piracy, and misuse of the platform
Protect customers, vendors, and E-Book Shop
Ensure accountability and marketplace integrity

3. POPIA & Data Protection

All personal information collected during onboarding is processed in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and the E-Book Shop Privacy Policy.

Information will be used solely for:

Identity verification
Vendor account administration
Legal and compliance purposes

4. Review & Approval

Vendor applications are subject to review.
E-Book Shop reserves the right to:

Approve or reject applications at its discretion
Request additional documentation
Suspend or revoke vendor access if verification fails

Approval is not guaranteed.

5. Ongoing Obligations

Vendors must:

Keep account information accurate and current
Notify E-Book Shop of any material changes
Cooperate with periodic re-verification requests

Failure to comply may result in suspension or termination.

6. No Agency or Partnership

Verification does not create a partnership, agency, or employment relationship between E-Book Shop and any vendor.

7. Consequences of Non-Compliance

Failure to complete or maintain verification may result in:

Restricted account functionality
Delayed or withheld payouts
Removal of listings
Account suspension or termination

8. Amendments

E-Book Shop may update onboarding and verification requirements from time to time. Continued use of the marketplace constitutes acceptance of such updates.
